What iFreeStore Does:
Setup Your Web Store-
When you sign up, iFreeStore will set up a customized web store for you. The
store will have items on sale from various distributors- books, CD's, movies
on DVD, video games, music books, and band items, for example. When people buy
items from your store, iFreeStore will have the items shipped to the customer,
and bill their credit card.
Free Setup-
There is no charge to you for this service. We only makes money if you do. The
basic idea is that your supporters will buy items from your store to support
your program. Instead of overpriced candy bars or popcorn, your supporters can
buy items they would be buying at another store anyway. You just get them to
shop at your store instead of someone else's. That way your supporters get something
they really want, and they help support your program at the same time.
Profit Split-
You and iFreeStore will split the profit from your store's sales. You will receive
35% of the profit from all sales. In addition, profit splits totaling 15% are
set aside for referrals, if any. Referrals are explained below.
Payment for Referrals-
If you refer a friend or colleague and they start their own store, you will
receive a percentage of the profits from their store as well. You could conceivably
make as much or more from your referral stores as your own. There will be a
button on your store's front page that people can click to sign up for their
own store. If they do, you get 8% of their store's profit.
You can also get payments for sub groups of your organization. For example, if you are a school principal and your band program, art program, and athletic booster club all have stores, you can get the referral income from those stores, as well as any income from your school's main store.
You only make money from referrals if your referred friends do. If you make money, we make money.
Provide a Web Address-
You will be given a web address for your store when you sign up. You simply
distribute this address to your supporters, and add links to it on your existing
web pages.
ID Code Tracking-
We allow you to put ID codes at the end of your store address to track sales.
For example teachers can assign each student an ID code. By adding that ID code
to the end of your store address and using the address to log into the store,
sales can be credited to individual students. We also provide a box on the checkout
page for the ID code so that the shopper can credit a particular student.
Using this ID you can create contests to encourage kids to get involved in promoting your store. You can possibly offer prizes to the kids who tally the most sales or the greatest dollar amounts in sales.
Collect Contributions-
If your supporters wish to make a contribution instead of buying something,
we can take care of that too. We will bill their credit card for the contribution
amount and send you 90% of the amount. We have to take 10% to cover the credit
card fees and our operating costs. That's far better than you will get from
most professional fund raisers.
E-mail Newsletters, Calendars, and Event Reminders-
To help you promote your program and direct customers to your store, we will
periodically e-mail newsletters, upcoming event reminders, and event calendars
to supporters who have made purchases on the store. These will help your supporters
stay in touch with your program. The e-mails will have your store web link and
a reminder that shopping there helps support your program.
Opt Out Capability-
You or your supporters can opt out of e-mailings of newsletters, calendars,
and reminders. We don't want to spam mail anyone!
Monthly Payments-
Each month you will receive a check for your portion of the profits from your
store's sales. Depending on your financial setup, we may be able to transfer
funds directly to your account.
Online “Back Office”-
We will provide an online “Back Office” for your store. You can
log in to your back office to customize your store in various ways.
We provide you with tools in your “Back Office” to select product categories to sell. You have complete control over what is appropriate content for your store. More details on appropriate content are below.
Provide Product Information-
We will provide all of the product information we have in order for you to make
an informed decision about which products to sell in your store. This includes
MPAA ratings (G, PG, PG-13, etc.) for movies and notifications about book, music,
and video game content.
Promotional Materials-
We will provide various promotional materials to help you and your supporters
promote your store. For example we will have downloadable fliers online that
you can print. Kids can get the parents to post them on bulletin boards at work.
Similarly, we will have downloadable e-mails online that kids can send out to
friends and family to promote the store.
